♦ The first two photos in this post were probably taken in front of the Rose home. The house is not really visible, although you can see its porch at left in the second photo. That bit of porch seems to match up with the porch on the light two-story frame building with the peaked roof at right in this 1913 image.
♦ If the clapboard house behind the float in this July 1947 photo is the same house as in the 1913 image above, its porch has been completely remodeled. (In the background at right is Trinity Lutheran Church.)
