"The filling stations, Verplank's and Art Behrend's, were built at Center and Main Streets, Verplank's with living quarter upstairs. Harry Grey operated the Home Service Station ("Main Street at the bridge") and later Frank and Dennis Lindborg (40 Main St.). William Walker continued Verplank's. Verplank's has been remodeled and Trustee Bill J. Rosser had offices here as well as Langbehn. City Judge Cefali and his son (17 Main St.) now have offices in the building."
