"Scheddell and Reissig had a drug store here. After they closed, Otto Bray opened a meat market and later Marshall Parry operated a grocery store before he moved to Main Street. More recently the Hobart Gazette was published here. Now occupied by Coburn Ceramics."

"The next two-story edifice, the Reissig building, housed a farm machinery sales room, Knapp's Variety Store and later Roger's News Depot (336 Main St.). Residences are on the second floor."
